John Schrader: Funny Man

Local musician and cancer survivor John Schrader contributed "Funny Man" to the CD I'm Too Young for This, a compilation of songs from survivors of cancer and those touched by cancer. I'm Too Young for This is an offshoot of Steps for Living, a project founded in 2004 by pianist Matthew Zachary. Steps for Livnig is a nonprofit organization that uses the arts to empower cancer survivors about everyday steps to living through recovery. Schrader, along with 20 other artists, contributed tracks to the CD. He was profiled in our May, 2006 issue by Sharon Nichols.
