Hudson Valley Philharmonic
March 2 Considered one of the greatest choral compositions ever
written, Randall Craig Fleischer will conduct Verdis Messa da
Requiem at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center with the Hudson Valley Philharmonic
and a mass community choir of 150 singers including members of the Camerata
Chorale and Ulster Choral Society. 8pm. Pre-concert talk at 7 pm with

Ubaka Hill and the Shapeshifters
March 7 As part of the Women Making Music Series, hand drummer
and drum teacher Ubaka Hill will be making a rare local appearance in

Alessandra Belloni: Tarantata
March 9 A return engagement of an evening of chants, tarantellas,
and erotic songs as Allessandra Belloni performs tracks from her album
Tarantata: Dance of the Ancient Spider. With Steve Gorn and John LaBarbara

John Hiatt
March 10 In a career that has now spanned more than 25 years,
John Hiatt has dabbled in rock, acoustic, folk, new wave and Mississippi

Dutton String Concert
March 16 Lawrence Dutton, violist of the Emerson String Quartet
and Elizabeth Lim-Dutton, violinist from Steve Reich & Musicians
will perform an evening of classical music with a special guest pianist.
Featuring a premiere of local composer George Tsontakis as well as works
by Brahms & Martinu. At the Kleinert/James Arts Center. 8pm. $15/$10

The Clancy Tradition
March 17 Join one of the most famous Irish musical families on
the day of corned beef and cabbage at the Towne Crier in Pawling. Their
sound is rooted in the traditional Irish style, although their repertoire
includes French waltzes, American folk songs and Scottish influences.

Lo Faber Band
March 21 On the road for a late winter Northeast tour while a
full-scale theatrical production of its rock opera, Henrys House
is being mounted for the summer stage. The Lo Faber Band is led by former
God Street Wine principal singer/songwriter and features several members
of Ominous Seapods. This seven-piece collective led by Lo will be jamming
out at the Rhinecliff Hotel. 876-8688.
Dar Williams
March 22 With a new album The Green World, folk singer/guitarist
Dar Williams will play two shows at Bodles Opera House in Chester. 8pm

Kairos: A Consort of Singers
March 26 This critically acclaimed local choral group will be
singing at the McKenna Theater at SUNY New Paltz. The program will include
Dufays Gloria, Barbireaus Missa Virgo parens Christi movements,
French Renaissance chansons, Italian madrigals, Wolfs Eichendorff-Lieder;
Debussys Trois Chansons, Ravels Trois Chansons and jazz

The Toasters
